Peer Leadership Programmes

 We deliver Peer Youth Leadership Programmes to young people aged 13+ This programme helps the young people to learn and demonstrate important life skills such as effective communication and organisation. The young people complete a Sports Leaders Level 1 qualification and plan and deliver several community-based projects to help increase their confidence and self esteem and to promote civic pride in their community.

Local Sporting Hero Multi Media Programme

This programme aims to improve the interview skills and employability prospects of young people between the ages of 14 – 17 years of age. It involves young people selecting a local sporting hero of their choice, researching more about this person, contacting this person to arrange an interview, developing and delivering a recorded interview and learning about the various media equipment used.

 

Sports Leadership Level 1 & 2 Qualifications

The Respect Project are a recognised assessment centre with Sports Leaders UK and have several coaches trained as tutors to deliver various accredited courses with both young people and adults. The courses are nationally recognised, accredited qualifications and can use a variety of subjects to teach young people vital skills to help them flourish in education and employment. Whether delivered through sport, physical activity or core-curricular subjects, learners will gain life changing skills and experience. Volunteering Opportunities

We offer opportunities for both young people and adults to get involved as volunteers within the Project activities. Volunteers will receive coach mentoring during their initial involvement and there are opportunities to engage in various training such as sports leaders qualifications; sports-based qualifications such as level 1 football coaching qualifications, for example.
